Social pediatrics clinic

The social pediatrics clinic is supported by healthcare and social services professionals, including two pediatricians and a nurse clinician, a lawyer-mediator, a music therapist and psychosocial workers who provide daily help and monitoring to children and families.

During appointments, a clinical plan is devised for the child and the family from the point of view of not limiting intervention to the concrete problem, but rather touching on everything in the environment that triggered the problem. Thus, we give children and families a safe space for regular contact with the pivot intervenor, home visits, academic follow-up at home, accompaniment to external appointments (hospital, CLSC, CPS, etc.), exploration of other resources available in the community or the neighbourhood, etc.
